Who We Are
The VSA Alumni Association is a vibrant network of graduates from the Newport, London, and Chicago Summer Schools of the Victorian Society in America. Since our founding in 1975, we have been united by a shared passion for Victorian-era architecture, art, and culture, and by our commitment to preserving and promoting this heritage for future generations.
Our members include preservation professionals, scholars, architects, museum staff, historians, and enthusiasts from across the country. Together, we create opportunities to connect, learn, and share—whether through events, tours, lectures, and publications.
As an organization, we are guided by a dedicated volunteer board and committees who oversee our programs, events, and strategic direction. You can learn more about the people leading our work by visiting our Leadership & Committees page.
We also maintain a formal set of Bylaws, which ensure that our operations are transparent, accountable, and aligned with our mission. These governing rules guide our decision-making, membership structure, and collaborative work.
We hold in special regard our In Memoriam page, which honors alumni and supporters who have passed away. This space is a lasting tribute to their dedication, achievements, and impact within our community, ensuring that their contributions to Victorian heritage are remembered and celebrated for years to come.
Whether you are reconnecting with old friends, exploring ways to get involved, or simply learning more about who we are, we invite you to engage with our network. Together, we keep the legacy of the Victorian era alive.
